FAQ

Straightforward answers about what FraudSentry does, how it works, and where the limits are

This FAQ answers practical trust, membership, cancellation, account, and support questions without hiding the product's limits.

Using FraudSentry

What does FraudSentry help with?

FraudSentry helps you assess suspicious calls, texts, emails, links, and messages, understand warning signs, and decide on safer next steps before acting.

What does FraudSentry not do?

FraudSentry is decision-support only. It does not guarantee detection, prevention, interruption, avoidance, or recovery, and it does not replace official institutions, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency services.

Does FraudSentry replace my bank, the police, or official support services?

No. If money, accounts, identity details, or personal safety are at risk, you should still contact the relevant official organisation directly using contact details you already trust.

Can FraudSentry be wrong?

Yes. FraudSentry outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, misleading, unavailable, or unsuitable. That is why the product repeatedly advises independent verification through official or otherwise trusted channels.

Is a FraudSentry report proof?

No. A FraudSentry report is not proof, not a certified fraud determination, not a police report, and not official evidence. It is a decision-support tool that helps you understand warning signs and safer next steps.

Can I send a FraudSentry report to my bank, police, employer, marketplace, or insurer as evidence?

You should not submit, present, or rely on a FraudSentry report as evidence or proof with any bank, card issuer, payment provider, telecom provider, marketplace, insurer, employer, law enforcement body, regulator, court, or other institution anywhere in the world. Use official reporting routes and provide original records where the official organisation asks for them.

Reports and AI

How is AI used?

FraudSentry uses clearly labelled LLM agent review and AI agent guidance sections. Those remain separate from the FraudSentry assessment so you can see which part is product-owned and which part is AI-assisted.

What does FraudSentry assessment mean?

It is the product-owned assessment layer based on structured warning signs and suspicious-pattern logic. It is distinct from the LLM agent review and AI agent guidance sections.

What does LLM agent review mean?

It is a plain-language review intended to help you understand the situation more quickly. It may be useful, but it can still be inaccurate or incomplete and should be verified independently.

What does AI agent guidance mean?

It is generated next-step support intended to help you act more safely under pressure. It is not proof, not official evidence, not official advice, and not legal, financial, or emergency advice.

Why are those sections still useful if they may be wrong?

They can help users slow down, spot warning signs, and choose safer next steps. FraudSentry keeps those sections clearly labelled so people can use them carefully rather than mistaking them for final authority.

Are AI sections official or final?

No. The LLM agent review and AI agent guidance are informational support only. They do not make the report official, certified, court-ready, or suitable as institutional proof.

Membership and account access

How does membership work?

FraudSentry uses Free, Pro, and Max membership levels to control web-check allowance and saved-report availability. Free offers 5 checks each month with no saved reports. Pro targets 75 checks each month and 7-day saved reports. Max targets 250 checks each month and 30-day saved reports.

Do Free users get saved reports?

No. Free membership generally does not provide saved report retention. Free checks are intended to be viewed immediately after analysis rather than stored in the account.

How long do Pro and Max saved reports last?

Pro membership currently targets saved reports for up to 7 days. Max membership currently targets saved reports for up to 30 days. These are product retention windows, not guarantees of exact deletion timing in every storage layer.

How does sign-in work?

FraudSentry currently uses email one-time passcodes for sign-in. No password is required. The code is intended for sign-in only and is meant to expire after 5 minutes.

How do cancellation and renewal work?

Paid membership renews monthly. If you cancel, the next renewal should stop, but the benefits you already paid for should continue until the end of the current paid billing period.

How do I contact FraudSentry about support, billing, or cancellation?

Use the Contact us page or email support@getfraudsentry.com. The contact flow is intended for general questions, technical problems, report concerns, billing questions, membership changes, cancellation, refunds, and safety/support concerns.

What should I do to keep my account access safe?

Protect your email account, device, and session. Do not share OTPs or one-time sign-in codes with anyone, including callers or messages claiming to be from support, banks, or fraud teams.

Country support, mobile features, and limits

How does country support work?

FraudSentry uses reusable country packs to show official reporting routes, practical guidance, and official-alert sources for the selected country. You can always change the country manually. Country support helps with safer routing; it does not certify whether a message, call, or website is genuine.

Why do some countries have more support depth than others?

Some countries have stronger official routing in this pass. Where coverage is lighter, FraudSentry shows fallback guidance instead of pretending to have more certainty than it does.

Are Android-only features available everywhere?

No. Android-only or permission-dependent features remain conditional. Device compatibility, permissions, operating-system behavior, and platform constraints matter.

What is Safe Call Shield and is it guaranteed?

Safe Call Shield and similar supported mobile protections are conditional mobile features. They may depend on device support, permissions, background restrictions, or platform behavior, and they are not guaranteed to detect, block, or interrupt every scam call.

Are alerts or monitoring hidden?

No. FraudSentry should be clear about what it checks and what the user chooses to share. Trusted Circle is manual and permission-based, and supported mobile features remain conditional on platform capabilities and permissions.

What is local-only versus cloud or backend dependent?

Some current web analysis and saved-report behavior is local-first or first-pass infrastructure. Longer-term production features such as durable storage, billing, richer account sync, or mobile integrations may depend on backend services and will be described honestly as they are connected.

What to do next

What should I do if I already sent money?

Contact your bank or payment provider immediately using official contact details you already trust. Ask whether the payment can be stopped, recalled, or escalated as fraud.

What should I do if I shared an OTP, password, or personal details?

Contact the affected bank, service, or provider directly using official contact details and secure the account as quickly as possible. Do not wait for the suspicious caller or sender to contact you again.

What should I do if I installed remote access software or shared my screen?

Disconnect the device from sensitive activity, contact your bank immediately if financial accounts may be exposed, and use official cyber or police support routes where appropriate.

Trusted Circle

What is Trusted Circle?

Trusted Circle is FraudSentry's human support layer for sharing a report with someone you trust when you want a second opinion or a calm pause before acting.

Is Trusted Circle hidden monitoring or emergency surveillance?

No. Trusted Circle is designed to be chosen by you, controlled by you, and used with your permission. It is supportive, not intrusive, and not hidden monitoring.
